Frequently Asked Questions(click question for answer)
What kind of measurements do I need to bring with me to get an estimate?
Measure the walls in the room. Also measure any windows (casing to casing), doorways and ceiling height. The more information, the better, as this makes your quote that much more accurate. Once we have your measurements we will design a plan for your space using our 20/20 drawing program and provide you with a FREE estimate.
Do you measure the final product, or do I have to do that?
If you choose our installation service, we will come to your home to do a site measure to ensure accuracy. Typically a site measure is done after the framing is complete.
Should I buy the appliances before or after I order the cabinets?
You don’t have to buy the appliances right away, but you do need to know the sizes and type of appliances because we need to design around them and/or give you the proper cabinets with the appliances in mind.
Do you have a cabinet/counter top installer or do I have to find one?
We have an excellent installation department, or if you wish, you can arrange for your own installation.
What type of counter tops do you offer?
Laminate, quartz, granite and more.
What are your door species options?
We have many choices such as maple, oak, cherry, hickory, alder, thermafoil, and melamine.
I’m doing more than just cabinets. Can you help me with my whole project?
We are a full-service retail store and lumberyard. We offer package sales, flooring, drafting, paint, plumbing, electrical, hardware and installed services.
My kitchen is installed but the doors don’t seem to be lined-up properly?
If we have installed your cabinetry, our installers will adjust the hinges so that the doors are initially lined-up. However, over time the hinges may need to be re-adjusted. While the WM Dyck Cabinet Department does not offer this as a free service, you can come into our showroom and one of our associates will be glad to show you how the adjustments work.
